ALICE MALCOLM

QUILLO
Quillo is a collaborative design project aiming to solve the common cases of insomnia caused by screen based distractions in bed.
The pillow is imbedded with an audiobook that is activated when the user's head hits the pillow. The concept behind this is to lull the user to sleep with minimal interactions and dissuade them from reaching for their phone,
The pillow plays for 20 minutes before drifting to a whisper and turning off. Alternatively the user can manually switch the audiobook off by turning over the corner of the pillow much in the same way as one would dog-ear the page of a book.

A solution for screen induced insomnia.
