ANNIVERSARY

Pressure project.
Over the course of one week, a team of five students from different levels came together to design and produce a product made entirely of supplies one would find in an office.

Our team set about re-inventing the calendar for a different purpose. What we came up with was 'Anniversary' a way to build up excitement and count down the days to a child's birthday.

This was achieved in the form of an advent calendar; counting down the days from a week before the birthday.

On every day, the user would twist the top of the cake, revealing a different window. As the top section moves,a small gift will be dropped into a drawer.

When the top section is twisted around to the final day, a latch is opened and the the entire section comes away to reveal a cavity which may be used to fit the child's main present inside.

In order to initially place the presents into the top of the cake, the candle twists down and pops a latch. the candle is then able to be used as a handle to lift the lid of the cake.
